We are proud to offer our Caldwell County “Thank-a-Veteran” program. To get started, a Veteran needs to bring their Military Discharge / DD214 form along with a valid photo identification for recording in our office. There is no charge to record this document. Veterans who already have their Military Discharge / DD214 forms recorded with the Caldwell County Register of Deeds need only bring a valid photo identification to receive a Veterans Discount Card. Once you have been issued a Veterans Discount Card, simply present it at participating businesses to receive the discount.

The discount card will be at no charge to the Veteran as a "thank you" for service rendered to our country.

Cards will be issued Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You will be given a poster to display in your business showing your customers and our Veterans that you are a participant in the Thank a Veteran Program. Additionally, your business will be on the list given to Veterans when they obtain a card and listed on our website. To join others who are participating, please submit the Veteran Discount Application Form. It can be faxed to (828) 757-1294 or emailed to registerofdeeds@caldwellcountync.org.

The Caldwell County "Thank a Veteran" Discount Card Program is issued for the purpose of receiving the discounts made available from participating businesses only. It is not a valid photo identification for determining actual identity or residency. It is not issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. It does not entitle the holder to any claim of Veterans Affairs benefits.
